In order to become a member of Locotes you are required to learn or know as much information as possible about the type of gang that we portray. Locotes are heavily based on Sureno gangs from southern California, be sure to read through and watch every link that I provide thoroughly. Its really important that you roleplay a character with feelings and not the stereotypical mexican gang member who's not afraid of anything.
This story that you're about to read isn't going to be one of these typical revenge bullshit stories that you think about when you get told about gang life. This story shows you the reality, the real deal, when it comes down gang life and the forming of a regular kid into a cold blooded gang banger. A story featuring the Surenos, the Sureccas, a notorious Latino gang known for it's rivalry against the Nortenos, the Nortecos. This story is the story of Hector Ramirez, a regular kid getting involved into gang life in his early troublesome youth.Hector aka Loony was a normal kid like any other living in the United States. A Latino kid born and raised in Oakland after his grandparents immigrated from Mexico to the United States in the early twenties to work in the agricultural sector of this great country. Loony's life was like any other's, except for the fact that he lived in an area known for it's gang activity and for being claimed by the SurSide, the Surenos.During Loony? teenage years he would go through a rough patch. His parents announced their divorce and Loony didn't know how to deal with this. Loony would spent a lot of time on the streets, depressed because of the divorce, he got in touch with the local gang who embraced him as family, taking him in and supporting him through his struggles. It wouldn't be long however before it came clear the gang had other intentions with Loony. As Loony spends quite a lot of his time with the gang, he slowly gets pulled into the gang life. He goes along on small time crimes being committed, thinking he's doing his so-called friends a favor, something which will prove him otherwise later. As his parents get word of what Loony has been up to, he gets kicked out of his home, in a desperate attempt of his parents hoping Loony would turn around and realize he's doing wrong, not being the point. As he gets kicked out of his home and gets to spend even more time on the streets, he feels the only ones that he can truly count on are his 'friends', being the gang Loony has now been getting affiliated with. On a night not long after all the recent events of this story being told, Loony along with fellow gang affiliates go to commit a burglary in a nearby upper-class neighborhood. Not long after entrance the police had been informed, and Loony would be taken in by the police not much later. Along with possession Loony would be sentenced to sit out a prison sentence for burglary. The next few years of his life Loony would be inside the prison walls. As he got into prison, supposedly to rehabilitate and better him, he got put together with an ambitious and rising Sureno Familia gang member. As he were to spent the next years of his life sitting in this cell along with this man he befriended him. He would now be schooled further into how gang life worked as a Sureno and he was taught about certain rules and regulations belonging to the Sureno Familia and the Sureno gang life which he was only getting dragged into further. Loony now dragged deep into the Sureno gang life. Loony no longer wanted to be a simple foot soldier and had ambitions to be somewhere at some point, he realized for one to climb the ranks he had to show off his dedication to the Sureno Familia. As a hit was sanctioned by a Sureno Familia General Loony would shortly lengthen his sentence for many years to come as Loony were to stab a fellow Sureno member, thought to be trying to step out and had been called a hit on. With this ambition and dedication shown to the ranks of the Sureno Familia Loony would not only lengthen his sentence but also climb the ranks. The next few years he would spent time being the right hand of his cell mate, a rising Sureno Familia member high up the ladder. As Loony climbed the ranks he would be schooled about the Sureno Familia politics. While Loony is inside the prison walls he had met quite a few people. Pablo Suarez, a fellow Sureno Familia member, being one of them. Pablo sat out his first ever sentence as he was caught for possession and assaulted an officer as he tried to avoid being detained. Pablo quickly adapted to gang life as he was brought in to the same prison as Loony with a high level of Sureno gang presence. Naturally Pablo got into touch with Loony who took Pablo under his tutelage. As Pablo was schooled by Loony he became part of the Sureno Familia and continued to be under Loony? wing, as his right hand man.
1.Always make sure that you follow the server rules and the gang rules at all times. Failure to follow these rules will either result in a punishment or a uninvite from the faction.2. You must have good knowledge about Sure?o gangs in America and be able to roleplay a gang member properly. And its really important that you roleplay a human being with emotions.3. You may have an alt account but you will be kicked from Locotes if you play an alt while any other Locotes are online, I ask full dedication to us or none at all. This applies to official members in the faction only.4. If you got any questions or complaints about the faction or its members. Don't hesitate to send a forum PM to Loony.5.Trying to join the faction also gives us the right to character-kill you if its needed.6. Always respect the members within the faction OOC'ly, being disrespectful, racist or discriminate will result in a uninvite from the faction. All recruitment for Southside Locotes 13 is done in-character. You should not expect to get jumped in after a couple of days as it will take time before you get trusted enough in-character to be one of the members in the gang. The best way is to try to get some contact with the lower ranks who will introduce you later on to the higher ranks which is something alot of members makes wrong and tries to get respect for the high ranks right away which often doesn't end up too well.As a outsider, you will probably be told very often to move away from us and what not, but don't give up cause you don't get respected right away. It will take some time before you get known around us, of course depending on your in-character actions. So its really important that you have patience when you're trying to join.
Q: How long time does it take to become a offical member?A: It can take anything from a month to a year. It all depends on your IC actions and when you get trusted and known around the cell blocks is when you're getting closer to become a offical member of the faction.Q: Is it possible to join the faction with a non-hispanic character?A: Yes, its possible but very rare that non-hispanic characters actually makes it into the gang, so its alot easier to roleplay your way in with a hispanic character.Q: Is it easier to get into the gang if i decide to roleplay a members relative?A: Absolutely not. It will be just as hard as for any player who's trying to join the faction.Q: Do i need to be level 5 IG to be able to roleplay with Locotes?A: Of course not. You can be level 1 or level 40, it doesn't matter.Q: Can i join Locotes with an alt?A: No, you can't. Your character must be your main character and you're not allowed to play on your alt while other Locotes members are online unless i've given you permisson.
